Easter 2010

What a beautiful day, literally and figuratively!

The temperature today was terrific: mid-70's, bright sun, not humid.

After his morning meeting, Eric came home and gaveme two very cute and very sweet Easter cards. He then proposed the day's schedule:

-- Take Aspen on a long walk, to the cows and back
-- Go to lunch
-- Drive to Charles Town

Sounded like a winner to me. Eric had originally planned on going to Liberty Road for crabs, but they wouldn't accept a restaurant.com certificate (being a holiday), so we ventured off to IHOP at Charles Town instead. After lunch, we were a mere two minutes from the casino.

The place wasn't as packed as we expected, though it wasn't empty either. We hung around for an "Invaders From The Planet Moolah" machine to be available, and we played for a while. Then we played a couple rounds of "Village People Party" before heading home. I figured we were there a bit over an hour.

Once we returned home, Eric worked on a spreadsheet while I prepared dinner and lunches for Monday. Then we played DDR for about a half hour before taking Aspen on another walk.

It was 8 PM before we knew it. So we settled in and watched "Minute To Win It" (quite addictive, I must say) before "Celebrity Apprentice."

Around 9:15 PM, I walked Aspen one final time, took a shower, and watched the remaining hour of Apprentice.

We went to bed at 11 PM, glad we'd had such a terrific day together.
