Wow, how long has this been in the making? I'm so pleased that the US finally did something right in terms of having healthcare to all its citizens. It was time. And the news was a great way to cap what was a great weekend.

On Friday night, Eric and I just stayed home. We were both tired from our respective weeks. We watched TV and vegged.

On Saturday, Eric went to his parents' old condo to continue the cleanup. I joined him and his mom around 1:30 PM to help box and catalog his dad's records. I only got one box done before it was time for me to go, but it's still a start. I'll return in subsequent weeks to continue the task. His dad has hundreds and hundreds of records stashed all over the place.

Later that evening, when Eric returned home, we continued our TV watching. We had originally discussed goign to Town DC for their first ever "Gagararamamama"...all Gaga, all night long. Yes, it was right up my alley, but we were tired and home was comfy.

On Sunday, Eric went to his Sunday morning meeting while I went out to breakfast. He then met his parents at the movie theater to go see "Alice In Wonderland" in 3D. I didn't go because it was such a beautiful day, and I didn't want to spend it in the dark. So I stayed home, read the Sunday paper, went to the grocery store, made a meatloaf for this week, and took Aspen out for a nice walk.

After the movie, Eric called me and it turns out the movie was just "eh", so I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it. That's the thing I fear about this new 3D trend...just like in the 80's when 3D hit big for a while, studios will emphasize 3D over substance. I hope I'm wrogn, but this is what I see happening.

But because it was such a beautiful day, we went to Adventure World USA and played mini golf. We had a blast, and I even won a prize: a deck of cards. :-)

By the time we were done, it was 4:15 PM, and we were famished...we hadn't had lunch yet. So we headed to IHOP. When we returned home, Eric worked on a spreadsheet and did some DDR, while I went back to the supermarket to claim my free Cuisinart immersion blender. We then spent the rest of the evening watching TV: "Minute To Win It", followed by "Celebrity Apprentice".

And that was my weekend.
